Invision wins Lloyd’s Register challenge

Invision will pilot a video-based safety system in the engine room of large commercial vessels.  The system will monitor safety and environmentally critical equipment, alerting the bridge and land-based staff in the event of unauthorized or unsafe maintenance procedures.  Being entirely edge-based means that the system operates reliability despite the intermittent connectivity often experienced at sea.  Lloyd’s, founded in 1760 and is the largest maritime insurer in the world, established the safety accelerator to test and help drive adoption of new technologies across its sixty-five thousand member organizations.
