Invision awarded grant to develop vehicle occupancy detection system

Invision.ai has been awarded a grant to test its vehicle occupancy detection system. The system is designed to automate enforcement and collection on new High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes. Roadside units will house multi-band infrared cameras linked to Invision’s ultra-efficient deep learning technology, and will be able to deliver accurate results across a wide variety of environmental conditions. The award was granted by the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), as part of the Small Business Innovation Challenge (SBIC). Invision will work closely with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) to optimize the system for the challenging highway environment.
